Default 95 dodge cooling problem

The other day my temp guage was working fine but it slowly cooled off as I was driving. Now it only gets up to the 130 mark and I have no heat any ideas?

If you change a part and then have a problem, it's a good bet it's the part you changed.

Test the thermostat in a pot of water. Bring the water up to temp until the t-stat opens, then cut off the flame, as the water cools, it should shut.

If it either don't open or refuses to close after it does, go get you another thermostat...
