ok, usually come with a new alternator pulley, water pump, and crank i think, basically what it does is rather than run those at full 100% it pulls them back to 75% so it frees up about 10hp that you can just bolt on. nothing more to it than that.

I had charging problems so I took mine off. The battery was draining at idle and low rpm driving.

Any parts store can get you a 180* stat. Go with a good name brand though, the Stant Superstat's seem fairly popular here.

Just runs the engine a tad cooler. Some folks find heater performance in the winter months is compromised..... others don't seem to find it as much of an issue. (though, I would point out, they live in the southern states/california......)

Some tuners require a cooler stat. In and of itself, it really won't do much for ya.

up to 97 the water pump pulley is bolt on and can be replaced. 98 -up is pressed on and cannot be. I run a crank only and have no issue's to speak of. Cheap bolt-on that actually work's.

Well, my alternator is from 1994. The newer trucks seem to have higher output alternators.

Correct on the WP pulley. 98-01 engine pulleys are a 2 pc. kits. Crank and Alternator. I have/run the set from Hughes Engines. On the 5.2 its as easy as removing the stock crank and alt. pulleys and installing the underdrives. But note, you will not be able to reuse the stock serp belt. Also your voltage to the battery will be under 12 at idle as previously stated. If you run alot of accessories(lights, winch, upgraded stereo) you may run into problems. It was a stupid easy install, and did show some improvement.

i only ran the crank pulley and noticed a difference...i liked it alot on the low end .... the othe day i decided i would try the alt pulley also not good made even more umph on the low end but when my efans kicked on all my lights dimmed...i pulled it into the garage and back to stock alt pulley...for the 50 bucks i would say its most deffinatly worth it even if you only run the crank pulley
