Sorry about the cat, ran my bosses dog over a while back, makes you feel horrible. On a lighter note:

A couple years ago I found a clogged cat on my truck.

Well the belt got stretched to **** so I have to get a new one.
The alternator squalled like crazy when I had the heat on going home due to it working hard.

The poster above made me think of something. Yesterday I had a new muffler installed and the old rusted through pipes replaced. I was inquireing about gutting the cat or just removing it all together. Little did I know a few hours later I would come close to having a gutted cat on my truck, just not how I was thinking.

here's a funny story with a happy ending. a couple of years ago we had a mama cat with some kittens. they were still real small, maybe 10 weeks old, and at that real cute stage where they're running around pouncing on everything. so one of them's sort of calico spotted and very unique looking.

i noticed that one hanging around under the explorer one day and shoo'ed it out and didn't worry about it. a couple of days later the wifey's at work about 10 miles from the house. someone come's in and comments - there's a cute little kitten running around the parking lot.... later, at lunch time, they're sitting outside at the picnic table and sure enough - the little calico spotted kitten comes up to them. wifey says - hey, what a coincidence - that looks a lot like the kitten we have at our house.

so they fed it something, and when they got up to go inside, the kitten ran over to our explorer and jumped up in the spare tire well....

wifey called me and i went up there and got it and brought it home. damn cat rode 10 miles that morning sitting up in the spare tire well, never jumped out or fell out.

Since we are on to cat stories LOL ...

When I was a kid one of our cats rode up to the U.P. with us... but it sat on one of the snowmobile tracks, which were on an open trailer... for 4 hrs in sub zero weather. Of course, we didnt know that... until we tried unloading the snowmobile and it wouldn't budge but about a foot and a half... pull the sled back and hit 'r again, still stopped... and again, and again.... huh, what the hell is the damn problem.... ooooooooohhhhhh.....

Years later as a young man, I can still remember setting kitty out on the beaver pond to her resting area like it was yesterday.
