Default Lift and tires

I plan to lift my 99 ram 1500 5.9 club cab short bed 4x4 ( of corse). Also I am getting new tires. I defenaitly want a suspension lift because I already need to replace a rear shock. I frequently load atvs and dirtbikes so I don't really want to lift more than 3 inchs. As for the tires i want to get a aggresive tread. I was thinking bf km2 mud terrains 285 75 16 because I drive In alot of mud. With that said I need help picking a lift ( brand, what kind). my trucks in good shape so can I just add a leaf in the back or should I get all new leaf springs. I want to spend under 2000 Parts only any recomondations

your best bet would be to get 2500 coils, and leaf springs.....this will lift you about 2-3 inches

got t http://car-part.com for the springs and coils

If I am remembering correctly, the 2500 has different width leaf springs.

they do....we have 2.5 in leafs, and the 2500's came with 3in, AND 2.5in leafs..so just find the 2.5in leaf and its pretty much a direct swap, depending on how many leafs are in the packs, you might need new u-bolts..but ive seen some 2.5 in in my local boneyards

The light duty 3/4 tons had the 2.5 inch leaves. They were only made in 94, and 95... so, finding one is going to be a bit tricky.

Doing the 3/4 ton front springs, and a shackle flip out back though, that would probably work pretty well. Better than putting blocks in there.

My rides in nice shape and rust free so I try to avoid junk yard parts. Also I want to replace all the shocks. The lift is more for function than looks for me Any recomonadations on kits

Check out Top Guns Customs. They will have what you need, and the price won't be hideously outrageous.

Go for replacement rear springs though, don't use blocks...... (aside from the stock ones.....)
