Default Tailgate Stuck

ok here what's going on, I lift the handle and the tail gate will not open, I have to squeeze the two inner handles to get it open, all connecting metal bars are in good shape, and the retaining clips are still intact.....
All the springs are on and in decent shape, around the latches any Ideas?

Id spray some blaster on it instead WD 40 stands for water diluted 40, pb blaster is a great penatrating oil.

WD-40 stands for "Water Displacement – 40th Attempt" and is a penatrating oil, rust inhibitor and cleaner. its pretty much the same thing and pb blaster just a diff formula.

both are good for getting things rolling, but it you want it to actually fix it go get a nice can of marine grade white lithium grease and lube it right.

You may want to bend the little tabs on the end of the scissor arms to get a little more travel. Had to do that to mine after dad bent my tailgate.
