I put a CAI on my truck that was 115.00 from summit and got maybe 2 miles to a gallon better. Also may want to look into different gears too if hill climbing alot.

What intake did you get? That sounds like a wise investment for $115 to get 2 more mpg..

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SPE-9931/ If you end up ordering when you get it make sure the carb hat has a knotch in it for WOT if not contact Spectre and they will send you the correct one free of charge

That sounds good then. I was going to get a drop in K&N filter, but I think I'll just go ahead and get a cold air intake. That and the SCT tuner combined wouldnt be THAT much more money than the hypertech tuner, and in the long run I'll probably get a better fuel economy increase

Very true. I have no problem dumping money into this truck as long as it increases performance and DOESNT reduce my fuel econ. If it helps me, all the better.

LOL you better leave now we will have you talked into all kinds of stuff. If you have the cash look at a Hughes air gap intake. I wish I would have had the spare cash for it but just decided to do the kegger mod and the rest of the mods in my sig.

I dont have a problem with buying more parts lol. I was gonna get the hypetech and K&N drop in, and that would have been around $375-400. Im spending around that same amount with the SCT and the intake and as it sounds from yall 1-3 miles to the gallon. Good with me!

By the way, if anyone else viewing this is looking to get that intake, Amazon.com has it for $95 dollars. What a deal!

Let's not ignore the plenum gasket, unless you want to replace cracked heads too.
