Default Noob question...

Thinkin about gettin new shocks, should i go with the rancho's or are monroe's pretty good? i know they been around for a long time.

And also the steering stabilizer, is it the same as a shock? if i wanted to replace it, do i get a shock, or is there special ones?

The steering stabilizer is a specific part number, you shouldn't just use any old shock in its place instead. As for shocks, I like the Rancho RS9000XL's, but most people also swear by Bilstein.

The dual stabilizer kit is really a waste of money, and will only hide steering problems. it isn't a fix really, just a band-aid.

Fix what is causing the excess play, jerks, and shimmy's to begin with, not just damper them.

i like the monroes that i put on my dakota, they are good if you just drive it on the road, and they only cost 20 bucks a piece, but ranchos are also a good brand

These trucks always have a lil slop in the steering there are things that will fix it. As far as vibration I'm no help there.
