No, they are not 8mm.

But I have been running a 7mm set since I bought the truck 4 years ago, and not a single problem yet. Didn't even learn/perform the whole wire routing TSB until maybe two years ago, and thats just because this site makes me paranoid. I didn't notice any difference before or after the reroute. 8mm helps, but buying a quality set of wires helps just as much. The cheapos or worn out wires are what give you issues, from what I've seen.

Autozone duracrap(cheapos)
MSD 8.5's (non cheapos). My gpa has a set of the bwd's on his ram and I've got a set of the bwd's on my 318 in my Mazda but it hasn't ran so I can't say if I like them but my Gpa likes his and he's picky.

Which which you guys rather do, the 7mm belden at Napa or the 7mm BWD at O'reilys with champion stock plugs?

The Belden 7 mm,stock champion plugs (or champion truck plugs) and route the wires according to the TSB.

Sure, as long as the cap has brass inserts, you are good to go.
