Default Failed every section of echeck

ok live in ohio and went to echeck yesterday and they failed me in every catagorie. its a 1995 2500 4x4 with 5.9 gas. i have a code for egr valve. when i did my plenum the egr tube was broken down by the manifold. my question to you guys is, is this making me fail? obvioulsy there can be other problems but does this contribute? and what is the easiest way to fix this because its in a secluded spot

ummmm, 95's dont have emissions....hes pulling your chain

94-95 is OBD1...no emissions

anything 1996+ has OBD2 which is emissions.

and when i did my plenum fix i cut the egr pipe at the manifold end, and exhaust end, and shoved bolts in the ends to prevent a big exhaust leak...i have a HIDDEN code for it....i get a CEL once every like 3K miles, but when i turn it off then on, its gone....but do the key dance trick...if you need to know what it is let me know, because its quite an explanation, but VERY easy to do...

but dont worry, they are trying to make money off you, all you will get tested on is SAFETY, and thats it.

Looks like Ohio does it on 25 year old and newer vehicles.

Did they give you a list of what's wrong, or leave you guessing?

I would start by fixing the tube.

yes they gave me a print out of what failed but it just says pretty much that there is to much carbon monoxide or something doesnt tell you what part failed. and the test if free so i dont know how they would make money off of me.

Like I said, fix the tube first and go from there.

You might be able to get it welded or buy a new one. Jy or dealer.

Just clear the code. The EGR is only activated on the highway when cruising for long periods of time. If you clear the codes and the light does not come on between where you cleared it and the shop your golden no code will show up.

If your carbon monoxide levels are to high that is from incomplete combustion. Therefore you have to much fuel, to little air, or to little spark.

The EGR is there for NOx emissions and fuel mileage. It does nothing else.
