Default Condensation when A/C is off

I recently noticed that I am leaking a lot of condensation out the AC drain tube in the firewall. I am not running the AC at all. So what else drains out this tube?
Prior to noticing that, the truck was overheating when I would get stuck in traffic or idiling too long. When I checked the radiator level it was a couple quarts low. I have had no sign of leaking coolant. I topped it off with some water and the temp stays under halfway mark now.
I saw something in another post about heater core leaking? I am looking for confirmation and any links for DIY.

Thanks!

DIY in the Faq section here.

Have a look at what's dripping out of your drain tube, does it look like coolant? Also check the passenger floorboard..... that is where it likes to end up if the heater core is indeed leaking. (not really uncommon on our trucks.....)

Welcome to DF.
