Default Water pump and fan replacement(electric?)

All at the same time my water pump idle pully and tention pully have gone bad(odd) The fan clutch seems to be bad too, I was looking at cost and it looks like the fan clutch is as expensive as doing an electric fan.

Has any one done an electric fan? If so can you recoment a size and please give me details. Thanks

oh this is a 99 2wd 5.9 xcab xbed

I found one from 05 ford police car with a V8 for my first one but it was a variable not a two speed, worked well for a year until busting snowdrifts the snow and ice blocked the fan and burnt it out. Now I have a 2 speed from a ford V6 that is working but I need a new controller.
Bought my controller here: http://www.dccontrol.com/fancontrol.htm
You need a controller for the temp function to activate the relay. Also I found that having a heavy duty relay in the circuit between the controller and the fan will save the controller if you get the wrong fan.

i have 2 procomp 16" fans off of ebay they were cheap but i spent most of my money on the thermostat kit...fans to me all seem to be about the same but the wireing i didnt wanna chance and go cheap. i have driven my truck in ft. lauderdale traffic and it never overheats with the a/c on or not dont matter. the midwest heat gets pretty bad also and i have never had a problem. plus i gained mpg and a lil hp (i think) no dyno to prove

will I need a relay too? Is there a "inexpensive" kit with everything?

Couldn't you just direct wire the fans to a power source so they always run when the truck is running?

i would not reccommend that due to the fact it will take FOREVER to warm up in the cold...also a decent wiring kit is about 30 bucks. and as far as fans go your looking 100-200 depends on what you want

fans i use

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PROCO...Q5fAccessories

thermostat kit...

i was surprised with the fans they work really good.and have held up for a good 4 months so far i still have my stock fan in the tool box just in case.

Good fans cost money. Good shroud kit costs money.

Here's a thread about e-fans from last week with tons of good info:
