97 ram 2500 steering and suspension questions
I have a 97 Dodge Ram 2500 4X4, 5.9L magnum V8, 6" BDS suspension lift, 3" body lift, 39.5" super swamper tires. I have the dreaded death wobble. I have done some reading on this and seen numerous possible fixes. I started by installing a steering box stabilizer. I know just by looking under the truck that all the bushings in the front are shot and need replaced. I'm not really mechanically inclined so I can't really tell if the track bar or any other components need replaced but i'm sure they probably do. That being said here are my questions....
1. Anyone know where to find a complete front bushing kit? Any recommendations on what kind or brand to look for?
2. If the track bar is bad, what kind should I get that can last with the setup that I have?
3. Are there any other suspension or steering upgrades that I should look into that will make a difference with the setup that I have?
4. Everything is getting pretty rusty under the truck, are there any precautions I should take when replacing anything?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I have been debating on just selling the truck but I really would rather fix it.

For steering and track bar I would look into Thuren Fabrication http://thurenfabrication.com/trackbar.html He builds amazing products that are very stout. One problem though is some of his stuff is on backorder at times.
As far as balancing 40" swamper's, no, it just ain't gonna happen. Your best bet is going with balancing beads... no weights.
Any alignment shop should be able to properly align your truck, given the lift isn't way out of spec. They would probably appreciate you pulling in with some stock sized tires lol

Haha yeah I need to invest in some smaller ones but they will probably look tiny compared to the ones I have on it lol. As for the thuren track bar thanks for the recommendation it looks pretty tough, does it really require welding to install though?
