where to from here...
A while back, I posted about having a tap and I thank all who replied. After exhausting all the suggestions, finally went to a mechanic I trust and he's saying wrist pin for sure. Sad part is I just got all the money together for Roller rockers, hi flow cat and sct tuner.
Looking for new opinions now. Rebuild, buy junkyard motor, run it till it dies, trade it before the noise gets really noticeable, find that large rock that fell off a bank and let the insurance take it( j/k ).
Just passed 92000 miles and also keeping in mind that these trannies don't hold together forever either.
There's always the buy another truck option too.
I'm not over run with cash, though so I must choose carefully.
What would you do?

What's your budget? I think that is going to be the deciding factor here.....
A junkyard motor is cheapest, but, ya never know what you are going to get.....
Rebuild would be a good option. But, that is gonna be more money..... How much more than a junkyard motor though? That depends on where ya are, and how hard motors are to come up with.
Long block? Not a bad idea, compare cost to rebuilding though..... and what 'extra' stuff you wanna put in there.
Replace the truck? Well, then you go out and buy another used vehicle..... and a new set of problems, unless you buy something that comes with a good warranty......

Well, 2k would be my max. A rebuild with cam upgrade, roller rockers and a custom tune would run me about that I'd guess. Anything more, seems like I could have a good down payment on a newer vehicle. I do love my truck though. That nostalgia factor seems to nickel and dime me much as a new payment at times.
