So I get back from a trip and my wifemanaged to killmy truck. The battery was completely dead. Figured out what caused it and changed the battery. My question is this. As soon as I put the cables back on (pos 1st, then grd), the truck started by itself, ran for a couple of seconds, then started again, ran, shut down. All of this was without the key in the ignition! I put the key in turned it run while the truck was running and it stopped this cycle. What the hell the caused it to start, run, stop by itself?

Perhaps your start relay in the PDC is hanging. It'll be hard to test if you can't find a way to reliably invoke the failure mode, though. If it were mine and I couldn't reliably duplicate the failure mode, I'd replace the darn thing just out of fear.
