Braided steel brake lines?
anyone come across these? when doing my brakes the other day I noticed that they flex too much when pumping up the brakes for bleeding. Opportunity for improved braking going to the braided steel lines... so has anyone seen any during their searches?

They offer Braided Stainless Steel lines. $180 for a stock length set. Longer lines for lifted trucks are more.

awesome, thanks for the links. I found 1 site that had them and I think it was the EGR one. I'll post back brake updates as I check them and the rotors for cracks (from the other thread) and swap out the lines.
Here is another really good site for those stainless steel brake lines. Inlinetube.com I used these guys when I replaced all of the brake lines on my 82 chevy 4x4. Everything is to factory specs and the price isn't all that bad either.
Braided lines are great for muscle & sports cars, that's for sure! I've done it a bunch on these types of vehicles, but didn't even think about it for a truck. I'm sure it could only help! That might not be a bad mod for me as my truck will be used for hauling a 24' flatbed trailer with literally tons of weight on it. Any reason it shouldn't be done for a work truck? Assuming I'll use DOT-approved lines with an outer sheath?

Yes, I'd agree that's why I'm looking for them. The new brakes i installed work pretty good except under hard braking... I'm thinking there is still air in the lines... I think I should have primed the calipers before installing them. I may just do that when I upgrade the brake lines.
Yeah, the whole system captures air pretty easily. The reservoir is fairly shallow and the rear system can get air in them if the level is allowed to go down low. Then, the master cylinder might need to be bled in addition to the rest.
