Default Removing Trim Package... thoughts?

Any thoughts or suggestions regarding taking off my factory exterior trim? I have the SLT package, with the "chrome-ish" trim and decals. Most of it is fairly worn. I was thinking of taking it off, but not sure the appropriate way to do so.

I'm also curious to see what might be underneath of it...

I took mine off before the new paint job. They looked tore up after 13 years. especially the chome film on the trim. It wasn't so hard removing them by just peeling them back and removing the adhesive then depending on your paint job you might be able to buff and blend the shade of color.
Here is a before and after.

That looks tight! My trim package has a LOT of "chrome", most of which is in really rough shape. Thank god I'm related to someone who builds sick hot-rods! He can take car of the body work. Not that it matters, but check it out...

go to a parts store and ask for an eraser disk. I cant remember who makes them. Remember to be careful when removing those emblems and trim packages the paint on these trucks sucks and it will want to stay with the adhesive tape instead of on the truck. <--I tried taking my trim off until i found that out
