Default Rear end alignment

ok i tore the 2 little U shaped clips out of the yoke on the rear diff yesterday and it twisted my diff sideways a bit and pointed the yoke damn near straight up lol so now i gotta cut the u bolts out and start fresh with gettin this thing operational again. ive a rear end swap once before but my memory is hazy as i had help and plenty of beers on that job.i know side to side i gotta measure from frame rail to drum but front to back i cant remember how, measure off quarter panel corner to center of wheel maybe? and then theres the yoke, do i hook up driveshaft first , get it in a straight line to the transfer case then tighten it down or is there a tool i should get to measure proper degrees?thanx for the info guys, much appreciated.

i tried adding pics but they are too large of size and i dunno how to make em smaller, the whole diff came forward, damn ear flush to the quarter panel. when the shaft tore loose the yoke went straight up and diff came forward. so the lift blocks are kinda leanin and the u bolts look slightly bent. ill take more pics to see if i can get 1 that is proper upload-able size

Upload your pics to someplace like photobucket. They have tools there that will allow you to change file type, and size. Great spot.
