i think as stated above if u got that kit you should be good.. u gain the extra power and still keep good charge for the alternator.. mine was 36-53 with shipping so that kit is prob gonna be like 70-80 after shipping!

The only way you don;t need a shorter belt is to get the 3 piece march pulley set. About 160 dollars. ALSO, you need to check your crank pulley and water pump.
If your truck is 1998+ you will need to get the 1997 and earlier water pump. 1998 and up has a water pump with a PRESSED IN pulley on the water pump.
Also, if you have a 2000-2001 5.9, you will need to get a new balancer. The 2001-2001 has a ONE PIECE balancer and pulley. So you cannot use the stock balancer. You need to get the balancer that you bolt to the pulley yourself.
idk about if ur gonna need a new belt.. but dont quote me on that one.. but u can get a new belt from any auto part store just tell them the size.. 95 or 95 3/4 not sure those are just the 2 that have been listed above!
Get this one from hi-potek

Email Rich and tell him if he will match the price on the steel pulley (or give you free shipping). he will probably be able to get you hooked up with a belt as well.

He is a great guy to work with. He is getting me a 3 high cat (CA emissions) magnaflow system SHIPPED for 20 dollars cheaper than the NON SHIPPED price from another site.
