Default Exhaust question

Okay, this is probably a stupid question but here it goes. So i cut off my old muffler and tail pipe of my 97 ram 1500 and welded on a glasspack. The glasspack sits a couple feet from the cat and is right under the cab at the begining of the bed, I have no down pipe or tail pipe comming off the end of the glasspack so all the fumes come out under the truck. Is it okay to leave it the way it is? i have heard that it will ruin the metal under the truck, it sits right next to the frame and bed.

Haha mine is dumped but its gonna be goin infront of the right rear tire too. If you have a camper shell it cant be dumped it has to be visable exiting some where I know that much.
