Default No Backup Lights on `96 1500???

I bought my truck last fall and noticed over the winter that backups lights didn't work. Now that it's above freezing, I decided to check it out and to my surprise I don;t have any backup lights. My tail lights are all red, there is no clear window segment as I would have expected. I would have thought backup lights would be required by law.

Any comments?

You have any pictures? Put your truck in reverse and see if the gray section of this picture lights up, your gray part maybe painted with a red transparent paint. If it doesn't replace the bulbs (3157) and try again.

Oh Yeah, there is a clear portion between the red lenses. Actually more smoked than clear. I had thought it was black plastic separating the 2 red lenses, but I'm mistaken. Now to find the backup light switch.....

Thanks for pointing that out to me.
