The Volant is far better than K&N or any other fake CAI on the market, the only one coming close to it being the S&B because, like the Volant, it keeps the filter enclosed. The fake CAIs just give you a larger filter, the supposed "heat shields" are pretty much worthless. Instead of a fake CAI, you might as well do the 14x3 (or similar) route.
The Volant, when found at a good price, is the best option.

I found it for $265 on Amazon or somewhere when I googled it. Its another $100 for the add on.

The CAI that I have is a ebay off brand that I cant remember and I used a K&N filter instead of the one provided.
I would like to do a gear change but the wife says it's not in the budget right now.
That is one thing I don't want to do myself so I called randy's ring & pinion and they want around 1700 for parts and labor.
