Deep tranny pan
I've got the Derale part with the "turbulator" tubes. Those tubes kinda defeat my primary purpose for buying a steel pan -- I like steel because when I find a big rock to bash it into it'll dent rather than cracking as aluminum would, but with all of those seams I'd expect one of them to tear when the steel distorts.
Whatever you get, make sure it's got a drain plug to make future maintenance easier, and seriously consider getting one with a temperature sender port on it.

I just recently replaced my pan with one from an auto that was behind a Cummins. It came from a 48RE, and when i took the pan off of my 46RE i noticed that the 48RE was about a 1/2 - 3/4" deeper than the original.
The pan cost me 30.00 on ebay, a cheap alternative to an aluminum one. And while your in there you could weld on a drain plug too.
Good Luck

I got the derale pan as well. 119 (I think) on summit. It has a port for a tranny temp sender.
If you DO get it, use the stock pan gasket. It is HARD PLASTIC which helps you not to overtighten your pan. When you do that, you bend the steel, and it WILL leak. Never EVER get a lube place to drain and fill your tranny. They always seem to overtighten the nuts on the tranny pan. And they replace the gasket with a flimsy rubber one.
