I've got a 2001 Ram 4x2 and have got an AC problem. The AC will blow nice cold air, but only from the bottom vents. I looked at the blend door, still struggling to get the back screw off, but was able to move it around a bit. With the truck running and the AC on if I manually move the **** the blend door connects to it will switch the cold air to heat, and I'd have to turn off and restart the truck to get it back to AC.

Now the heat works fine, blows out of whatever vents I want it to, just the AC won't.

I'm wondering if this sounds like a blend door issue or something else?

Having failed to completely take off and look at the blend door I'm not sure if the plastic part that usually breaks is broke or not.
