Gears have to be set up properly to run quiet, and last more than 100 miles. Do it wrong, and you can cause a great deal of damage.

found a few sets of 4.10 under 200.. and know people who ahve done it on their trucks with no problems 410 is the highest i want to go my trucks a street truck and stays at 265/70/17 or lower so anything higher prob wont work for me.

I have 3.55 gears with 32" tires. They're in good shape and don't anticipate changing sizes anytime soon. I don't tow anything.

What should I expect to pay for a good set of 4.56 gears in my truck? Can you suggest a brand?

If you go to the "Popular Catagory" on the right, they sell package deals for our trucks, bot front and rear gear as well as the master install kits from Yukon Gears, and they aren't as expensive as I thought they would be, cheaper than most places. If you call them, for ~$20 more, they'll substitute the standard cut gear for the Dana 44 front axle for a thick cut gear, that way you don't have to buy a new carrier. The kit price was right around $600 plus shipping.

I currently have 33" (305/70/R16) tires with no lift (that I can see, truck is level, but I for the life of me don't see any spacers or any signs of any type of lift kit) and I plan on putting 35" tires on eventually, with a lift, so I'm just going to put the 4.56's in now, that was I don't have to pay again when I upgrade.

You can fix your speedometer with a 36 tooth speedo gear that cost just a few bucks at the dealer. http://www.rm-indy.com/speedo_correction.htm

I would go with 4.10 gears instead of 4.56 gears since your tires are only 32" and you don't plan on going to a larger tire. If you run at 60mph or more frequently then you'll save on gas with 4.10's because they will keep the rpms lower at highway speeds vs the 4.56 gears.
If you tow a lot and run under 60mph 85-90% of the time then the 4.56 gears might be a better bet.
Like Muzz said, they're around or a little under $600 at complete off road for a set of Yukon gears with install kits. If you want to spend $500 more then you can get a Detroit TrueTrac to give you better grip in the rear.
