Default muffler option?

I have a 99 ram with 5.9 I have 2.5" duals and a gutted cat and I want to put a muffler on to give it a nice tone. Anyone have any opinion? I'm just not sure what way to go. Any opinion would be great thanks.

i have 2 23" thrush glass packs 2.5 in and out . my cat isnt gutted or anything but it has very deep tones kinda sounds like a flowmaster but better. i plan to get my cat to get a little more sound out of it cause it is a little mellow. but like i said it sounds great as is.

It depends on how loud you want it. I have a flowmaster 70 big block muffler
with functional cats. It's pretty quiet in the cab but has a little rumble outside.

With those pipes, not only are you asking for a huge headache, but your also asking to get pulled over. Imagine driving home at 3 in the morning with those pipes. The only thing I'd be thinking is "There goes that D!CK head again!!!"

Wouldn't be bad soundproofing with Dynamat installed in the interior. And I was that jerk setting off alarms when I had headers with a highflow cat and straight pipe dumping in front of my rear passenger tire. If its to loud your to old!!!
