Thanks crazzy!

Well if I find the calipers to be an issue then I'm kind of surprised they changed the brake hoses... (though I suppose potentially both could have been an issue, stock 12 year old hoses/calipers)

the hoses are probably ok but there may or may not be be problems with the caliper. if you open your bleeder screw and the rotor turns freely and then you close the bleeder and try applying and releasing the brakes and it still turns freely you might have just had air in the caliper.

Air would just give you a spongey pedal. Wouldn't cause the calipers to lock up. At least, not right away. The presence of air in the system WOULD give rust a good chance to form though, and rusty piston bores WILL cause the calipers to hang up.
