Electrical trouble, please help
That's perfectly sound advice right there. Heck, I'd have said it myself if I hadn't somehow got the notion in my head that he'd replaced the alternator. Connecting it backwards will smoke the rectifier diodes.
vin number in the pcm doesn't make any difference. but the engine size does.
oops, i looked at J415's signature.....
the california emissions (at least in later years) had O2 sensors on both sides, whereas (again in later years), the federal emissions had on one precat O2.
never mind on that one.
the 5.9 V8 or 3.? V6 would have different fuel delivery rates. if you don't have a 5.2 pcm, it could be a problem.

that was the first thing i did. and still no luck
definitely, i checked it, it wasn't reading the right voltage. i replaced it and the problem continued. which is why i got another PCM. i was hoping that would have fixed it
