Squealing Noise on '01 Ram 1500 4x4
Hello all,
When I press the gas pedal there is a squealing noise that sometimes happens. It's kinda hit and miss. Usually when I get above 35mph the noise stops, but other times it goes on. It ranges in pitch, sometimes you can hear it but other times it very faint. Today it got kinda loud I was thinking it was something with my belt, but I was wrong...I took it to my mechanic today and he said something about "Joints", and "Drying Out." Can any of you guys shed some more light on this for me if you can?
Thanks,
Aj

My driver side front bearing hub started out faint & intermittent. About 6 months later it was too loud to ignore.
I have a mystery squeal/jiggling noise now when stopped and transmission is engaged. If I throw it into park the noise goes away. I parked up against a curb and got out to try and indentify it but couldn't hear it in the engine bay. Its definitely more noticable while in the cab but doesn't seem to be an interior noise.
Sorry to get carried away on my squeal but while on the subject maybe someone has had something similiar?
