Default Nv4500 - 318

I have a 1500 99 X-Cab 4X4 with the crappy 46re... obviously I wanna do the swap, is it possible for the 4500 to fit with the 318? What parts would I need? Hard or just time consuming? any advice AT ALL would be extremely helpful, including budget.
Thank you much appreciated.

Clutch, clutch hardware, clutch lines, clutch master cylinder, transmission, and PCM.

NV4500 behind a 318 would be sweet.

ok sweet, and I would need to change the input output shafts cause im gonna keep the auto T-Case. Also does the crank match up to the 4500 or do I need to change flywheel or anything? thanks so much man, your rock!
o and could the PCM just be flashed to be a manuel? I was reading somewhere, where someone grounded one of the wires off the PCM so they could start there vehicle.

Ideally, you would have a donor truck, and transfer EVERYTHING from that one, to yours. According to popular theory, you 'should' be able to just reflash the PCM for the manual, but, I haven't heard of anyone doing that yet, and one member when he asked at the dealer about it, just got a deer-in-the-headlights look.

Wiring harnesses are different between auto and manual, so, if you don't do something about it, you will have the CEL on all the time.....

dodgeboy7 (my roommate) did the 46re to nv4500 conversion. His thread is around here somewhere. And to sort out the pcm problem, he ordered one from solopcms.com as recommended by hemifever. They sent him a new 318 manual tune pcm and was ready to rock and roll. If your seriously interested in the conversion, shoot him a pm.
