i hate to be the guy to bring up an old thread but i wanna here your take on coil spacers vs. new coils. I found a good deal on TGC's 3'' suspension lift and come with new coils instead of spacers. I'm not huge on mudding or off-roading at all but i am a heavy fisherman and hunter and i have to tackle some unforgiving land sometimes. For the extra $50 is it worth the new coils? Which would ride better? Thanks guys.

I went with the Hell Bent Steel spacers. They are very solid and they only cost $80.00. I didn't need a longer shock but I bought Bilstein 5100 series through suspension connection and OMG what a difference in ride quality. The spacers took my Dad and I 2 hours to install and all of the geometry seems to be correct because the ride and the steering is great. Here is the link. Hope this helps.

It depends on what your looking for, spacers keep the ride as close to stock, now depending on lift brand they can either stiffen or soften up the ride....now an upgrade would be going with a progressive rate spring which can give a better overall ride because it will absorb small bumps but still be stiff.

Personally though I would spend the $50 and get the new springs, just due to spring sag over the years

well the lift kit is a TGC. Kit comes with new lower suspension arms and 4 brand new Rough Country Hydro shocks. I heard some good and some bad on these shocks but because im on budget they should be good enough for now. When i get more money i can upgrade shocks maybe year or two down the road if i want to. Here the links between the two kits im choosin from.

You don't need the arms, theyre not any longer than factory. Just get springs and aal's along with shocks if choose to do so.

its still cheaper to buy the kit with the arms then to buy the parts seperate. And im going with the blocks instead aal(amount of weight i put in doesnt do much and the rear end already as rough as a lumber wagon). Im just having a tough time deciding between the kit with new coils or the kit with spacers? Im leaning towards new coils but i dont want to spend the extra money unless its going to be a real improvement vs spacers with stock coils.

Just go with the new springs. Spacers are for close to exact factory ride as possible... which is so bad and u don't.even realize it..
