well, i got them installed. i had the jack under the control arm just so it wouldnt drop down or anything. didnt need the jack at all.

also, i replaced the part with a moog bolt kit that i got off rockauto.com. im not sure how they adjust caster/camber using these, because the offset washer seems like its too small, because you can twist is all the way around and it barely hits the side, so now im wondering if they had the wrong part listed for my truck.

Sounds like the wrong ones. Dodge isn't the only folks to use them. Might also have given you parts for a 2 wheel drive.... (don't know if they use the same thing or not though.)

If you still have the package, I would call where you got them, and verify part number and application.

one came from rock auto the other from a local auto place. they both gave me the same part.

does the ram sport use a different front axle or something?

is the 97 larger than the 98? the space where they fit in is about 2.5" and the washer is like 1.5" even with the offset cam/hole it still barely touches the the edge on the slot where the washer sits.

went and had a look at mine. (original bolts, so far as I know...) The washer fits snugly into the U shaped "thing" around it.

Take one of your originals in with you, and see if they can match it up, or, talk to the dealer.....
