Default wont start after up to temp ?

I have a 94 dodge ram 1500 2wd with the 318 its nt getting a spark ounce the motor is up to temp and I turn it off go to start it again and it won't mak a spark but when its cold it fires right up with kno problems I need help evryone I no dosent kno either so I can help me give. Me some ideas of what it could be thanks scott

you could start by checking your coil and or coil wire..check the connection at the coil...

I jujst put a new ingnition coil on it yesterday

Sounds like a bad crank sensor.

But how why would it do it only wen its up to temp?

There is a coil winding inside the sensor that generates a signal to the computer. I work at an auto repair shop and have seen a bunch that run cold but once they get hot......nothing. Unfortunately it is a bit hard to get to on Rams. it is mounted on the upper passenger side of the trans bell housing. I have seen the same on G.M.'s also, they get warm/ hot and quit until it cools off.

Getting at the 2 attaching bolts is the tricky part. You just need to remove the 2 bolts, I usually get them from underneath. but I have it on a hoist and it is still a pia. Unbolt, unplug it and put the new one in. Super easy in a van with the dog house off... I hope this fixes your truck, It seems to me that you have eliminated all the other ignition problem areas. The Distributor only controls the injector timing (cam sensor is inside).
