wont idle

My 1999 1500 5.9l will not idle, when i start the truck, its fine after i get going, any ideas.

the most probable, is the idle air control valve, its located in the back side of the trottle body

Ive replaced that about a month back. Any other ideas

try the EGR valve, located by the oil pressure sensor on the back of the motor.

I don't think he has one of those.. I'd at least give the IAC a look see... it can't hurt, especially if it is an aftermarket one..

did you have rusted battery wires? if yes check for loose connections. my faulty idle was caused for a starter wire making contact with the engine
