so this weekend i fixed the plenum and installed a new timing chain. it all went fine, but when i got it back together my idle is rough. the engine starts right up but it is running rough. i can't for the life of me figure out what the hell it is.

 

did you install the timing chain the same way it was?

 

yes, i put it on right back the way it was, the timing marks lined up perfect. i forgot to mention its smells like its running rich. like i said it starts up fine but idles rough and idles high, right below 1k
