Hey all. Was on line this morning looking for valve lash specs and ran across some KDP info. Well my truck in a 97 and not wanting to deal with a failure of that type, I ran out and got gaskets and so on, tore the cover off and found my dowel a little past the casting. Pic included. Question is, is it ok to tap it back flush with the casting before I bolt in the retaining tab and is flush far enough in? Thanks!
do you have a cummins? if so, hit up the cummins section of the forum, we are gasser guys. but from what i know its quite common for them to work themselves out, and it is safe to drive it back in.
