Hey guys I installed a water pump on my 1997 Ram 2500 5.9 gas motor truck about 5-6 months ago and now its leaking again and it leaking onto my balancer. So I was wondering if anyone had a picture of a water pump weep hole so I know for sure its cominmg from the weep hole before I tear it apart. I got 2 leaks and 1 is the timing cover gasket but I would like to see a pic of the weep hole so I know for sure its the pump leaking because its directly above the balancer in the middle. Thanks guys

 

Did you use a brand new unit or a rebuilt one? The rebuilt ones sometimes fail that quickly. For some things, rebuilt is OK, but from what I've seen and read, the water pump is not one of those things you want to take a chance on.

 

The water pump was a new unit thats why im surprised about it

Well the new water pump I got today doesnt show a weep hole unless its behind the pulley on it
