Default I think my truck is back firing in the intake ???

hello i recentl did some work to my truck it is a 2001 dodge ram 1500 4x4 slt 5.2L and ever since we replaced the Plenum kit,cap and rotor, pcv valve,180 tstat and oil change my truck will randomly become sluggish, want to stall and make a pack pack sound like mini backfiring or something. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on what this could be??? im stumped and it is not throwing any codes at all. Any info would be great. thanks

check your cat if it rattles its bad or take out the front o2 sensor and see if it runs better.

I just got back from a mechanic buddy and he hooked it up to a diagnostic tool and says the timing is out and this could be one of the reasons why this is doing this, he says it could be o2 sensor or alot of things anyone else have any thoughts??

Did you turn distributor when replacing cap?

Timing is controlled by PCM and is not adjustable in the way most people think.

Double check routing of plug wires and firing order. There is a TSB in the FAQ/DIY section for correct routing of wires.

Remove upstream O2 sensor and let it hang - see if it runs better. If so, cat is clogged.
