Gas Mileage is killing me....
#22
Seems to me that about a year ago on Xtreme 4x4, Ian run thru a 96 Dodge p/u with crummy mileage and got good results by cleaning out the crap from the cab/bed. 300lbs worth. Air up the tires to spec. Use a vaccum gauge and drove like there was an egg between his foot and the throttle.
Now that said, my own truck the way I use it, is around 11mpg town and 15 maybe on the highway. I don't drive it that much either. Nothing to go thru $40 bucks worth of gas a night pushing sprint cars.
Run my diesel as a DD instead...about 18 to 22 mpg with it.
New spark plugs will be good, I just use the Champions or what ever Newfie Speed and Sport has on sale. My buddy put in E3's in his Dakota, was alot poorer and no increase in mileage.

I'm going to respond with the obligatory comment: check you plenum. Look at the top sticky on this forum for more info.
