Power!!!
#21
Hey, i've got a 98 1500 4x4 with a 318. Lokkin to get some real power somehow. I've gone over a lot of ideas and put up quite a few posts already, though im still newbie status haha. I'm mostly new to mopar so i dont know too many specifics but i know i need wayyy more power than im getting from my 318. I've looked into a 4bt conversion but a lot of the ones ive seen done have taken quite a bit of time. Ive heard all this about a 390 stroke but honestly dont know what all that entails. Also looking into procharger cause ive heard the p-1sc would be compatible somewhat.. Anybody got any good ideas, or any past experiences. The cheaper the better
One thing to remember when it comes to automotive engines:
1) Cheap
2) Fast/Powerful
3) Reliable
Pick any of the two from the list. Personally, I always choose options 2 and 3.
To add to that, trucks are for hauling cargo, they are not for hauling ***.

This is the greatest comment over. It will now be my new quote.
On topic. I like option 1 and 3. More ways to save me money and reliability so my truck can last longer. Granted cheaper doesn't always mean reliability but you can work around that.

Mod the kegger and put a hughes plate on there, Harland Sharp 1.7 roller rockers, double roller timing set, a tuner to rid yourself of the death flash, 14x3 air cleaner, 4.10s or 4.56s, and a set of injectors from five-o motor sports, (stock is 24lbs i believe) free flowing exhaust with shorty headers(use factory y pipe) or longtube headers(for full custom exhaust) if you dont have emissions testing in your state, id kill the kitty.
