Sorry for a real noob question but...

Where exactly does that part go? I've never seen that before! What exactly is its purpose? Is this the part that is needed for every 94-97 Ram that you change gear's and tire sizes???

The chart on there went only to 4:56 and 35's which it said is a 39 Gear Teeth. I would call and ask as well.

Into the speed sensor on the output shaft of the trans, or transfer case. (I haven't looked real close to see exactly where it is.) That's where the PCM gets the signal it uses to run the speedometer. On 98 (99?) and newer trucks, the sensor in the diff does the job, so, you really only need to compensate for tire diameter on those.

So once you put one of these speed gear thingy's in then it fixes your speedo after upgrading gears/putting on bigger tires?? (94-97?)

98' I believe that's when you could just buy chips or programmer's and fix it correct?
