Default Wheel Bearing Question??????

i got a question about wheel bearings. i have a 1997 2500 4x4 and i was wondering if anyone knew if 2004 2500 wheel bearings would work on my truck??? my front right wheel bearing is bad and my cousin has his old unitized bearings. he swapped to manual hubs. so i know his bearings are good. just wondering if anyone knew if they would or not? he lives about 2 hours away and dont wanna waste a trip if they wont work. thanks for any help..

I doubt it. They changed axle manufacturers on the third gen trucks. You could call the parts store, and have them check interchange..... Don't hold your breath on that though.

visit any parts website like autozone, advance, or rockauto.
look up the bearings of both models and see if they use the same part number.

i'm also betting not.

bearings for our trucks are expensive as hell. your 2500 is even worse than the 1500. check for best pricing on rockauto and amazon. beware of cheap**** chinese bearings. some people use them ok, others report short life.
