I have recently bought a set of 285/75/16 Fierce attitude m/t tires they are 33 inch tires and i was wondering if i could get away with just a 2 inch lift or would i have to go with a 3 inch there is a $200 dollar or more difference and i just want them to fit under it without having to spend alot.

You might be able to get away with 2", the general suggestion here though, is 3" for 33s...

i guess i just read in a magazine, LIFTED, that for 33" tires it only required a 2" which would make things alot easier for me currently money wise

2 inches will work with 7 inch wide factory backspaced rims...well it did for me anyway.

As dsertdog said it is all in your wheel backspacing. I run 33X12.50X15 that are 15X10 on a 2in leveling kit and get no rub even when flexed. I'm not positive what the backspacing of my wheels are though.

A 3" kit is less than 200.
