Default exhaust

On my old 99 Dodge Ram 318 I had headers to single in/dual out flowmaster with 2.5 in pipe. It sounded ok but but not quite deep or loud enough. Was wondering if you could post audio with specs. I would hate to have to pay someone to swap exhaust parts till I got what I want.

Just put 2 40's on there and youd have what your looking for.

In my opinion anything louder thaqt 40's would be annoying. I dont wish for 1 second my truck was quieter after the 40 I had put on but I could see how anything more would be annoying in the cab and on long trips i wouldnt want that.

Not really sure i think the big thing with the delta flow is noise cancellation to give it a deeper growl. - It flows about the same

Added Check out the sound bytes of this muffler at the flowmaster site... sounds good

I spoke with flowmaster and they said that the loudest muffler they have is the Super40. I just installed it on my 2000 1500 and love it. I've passed other guys with flowmasters and mine definately seemed louder. Even the muffler shop was impressed with the sound. And at highway speeds, it's not in the least bit annoying, and actually just fades away in the cab.

If you want a good deep sound, one that reminds you of the good ol' days and hot rods, and something loud - and I mean really loud - go with a pair of 24" Thrush glasspacks, true-duals, and 2.5" pipes. Just trust me on that...

Default RE: straights!!!!!!!!

ive gotta 97 5.9 1500 2wd with straights and people ask everyday what muffler is that and i simply say none. its gotta cat but no muffler with 2.5 pipe to 4in tips. there is a little inside noise but its okay. i just found a 99 4x4 5.9 quad cab for $10k and will do the same to it.
