axle nut

Default axle nut

mine fell off cause the cotter pin wasnt in it, where do i get a new one?

WOW, how did it just fall off? That's not good for the bearing. I'd look at the junk yard. That's gonna be your cheapest bet. I know the dealer has them and I think I've seen them on eBay. Also emsoffroad sells used axle shafts, thru could probaly round one up for you.

yea it took out my wheel bearing but the wheel bear was under warrenttee so i got it replaced now just looking for the nut, and it just fell off cause i let my brother put my truck back together(that will never happen again) but anyway thanks for the info

i would call the dealer and get the part number and their price then call around to part stores.

when i put new ones on my truck from the dealership they were $50 for two of them...not cheap

yea i tried to go to all the parts stores in town, but the drawback to a small town is that there is only 3 in town and none of them had it so i checked the one junkyard in town and they only had a 2wd dodge so i went to my machanic and asked him and he gave me the number to the nearest dodge dealership, but they didnt even have it in stock they had to order it, so tomorrow i get to drive my friends car to the dealership thats 45 mins away to pay 38 dollars for the nut because i need my truck on friday to start my new job
