Default Headlight electrical issues

I own a 2001 dodge ram 1500 (5.9 v8) and I'm running into an issue with my headlights. Basically the issue is when I turn on my headlights, they function properly, however, when I tilt my steering wheel to any position besides all the way up the headlights turn off. My foglamps still function but the headlights turn off when I tilt the wheel down. Has anyone had this issue? If so, what did you do to fix this?

Most likely a wire issue or multifunction (turn signal) lever issue. Multifunction switch is known to have a few issues over time.

Only way to see and possibly fix is to pull the steering column apart, pull out the lever, and look. A Haynes manual would be handy for this, but the 2001 Service Manual in the FAQ section may help as well.
