hey guys i have a couple questions. my 2000 ram 1500 4x4 wipers simply quit working the other day. the switch still works as far as i can tell. the fluid still comes out when the end is pushed. i can also hear a clicking out under the hood when i activate the wipers, but the wiper arms dont move. im thinking the wiper motor is bad. and as for the tranny, i've been told that a torqueflight 727 can be fitted with the overdrive unit from my 46RE. i wonder if this is correct info so i can build one for my truck, or could my 46RE be rebuilt using the 727 parts? any and all info will be greatly appreciated.

 

There are many sources for parts for your 46RE. I would stick with parts that are guaranteed to work.... Lotsa stuff available for upgrades as well. Check out WITTrans.com..... Also, on page six of montec's trans corner, in the faq section, is a nice list he put together for another member that tows 7K trailer..... build according to that list, and your trans should be pretty much indestructible.

Check that you are getting power to the various pins on the wiper motor. If you are, replace the motor.
