This is my 97 Dodge ram with the 5.9 liter 360 engine. I have summit racing shorty headers true dualed with 2 1/4 inch piping into two jones mufflers out the back with 3 1/2 inch tips.

I say this in almost every exhaust thread I get in - Youtube is your friend dude lol. Seriously, you can hear what just about every muffler with or without cats sounds like. It's how I picked my exhaust setup.

I have stock cat, with a single in/dual out Flowmaster Super44. She is kinda quiet at first when you put it on but after about a month, she gets loud! My truck is louder then guys around my town with straight pipes on their Chevy's. It has a pretty loud rumble to it at cruising speed, but when you play with the fast pedal she gets really noisy. Not irritating **** your neighbours off annoying, but just good old fashion loud that sounds good.

not at all.

I hate loud trucks. All the losers with crappy trucks roll around the mall parking garage stomping on the gas trying to get girls to look at them. Why those losers think that a loud truck that has rust and a horrible interior is a girl getter is BEYOND me.

Plus, those losers burning rubber through a parking garage looking at girls walking to their cars....NOT NOTICING the father and his two daughters walking. ******* almost killed us.

So every time I see someone with a loud obnoxious truck, I think loser.

just because a truck is loud doesnt mean it has rust and horrible interior...its part of the performance of the person and it all depends on what the person wants and likes...everyone has there own opinion

Go buy a Glasspack, cut your old exhaust off about 2ft behind the cat and weld on the glasspack with a 3in elbow exiting infront of the rear tire, with a 4in tip. I did it to mine and she roars.
