Default What Lift do I have? I need an extra Inch in the front

So, I bought this truck, and the guy said it has a 4" lift kit on it, but didn't say what brand, or how it was lifted.

I can see that it has 4" blocks in the rear, and in the front, I see some spacers about 2" tall on the front springs. I have no idea what the lift actually is, if its considered a 3.5" lift or if it is actually a 4" lift, but I know I need just a bit more up front.

I have 35" tires, when I had 12.50's it was fine, but I just added 35-13.50-15's, and it rubs a bit when I have 3 or so people in it. Also, by measuring, I am about 1.5" lower in the front than rear, so I was thinking that it probably wouldn't rub if I lifted the front about an inch to an inch and a half. I know I can run taller spacers, and I have heard that if I run 2500 diesel springs, that might do what I need as well, but I don't know if the diesel springs would lift it too much, or ????

Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated...

if you go over 3 inches of lift in the front your going to need longer control arms. you can do diesel coils to give you an inch or two. if you could post pictures that would also help...

I'll post some pics tonight..... I found a set of 4" spacers for the front, but if I run those, without longer arms, I am guessing I'll begin to have some caster issues? Is there anywhere that I can buy just the longer arms?

I'll post a pic of my pitman as well, because I am not sure if its stock or a dropped pitman.

if you want longer arms fab some up or get the dick cepek long arm box kit. its like 550 bucks or so. if you dont get longer arms and put a 4'' spacer on your truck, well i dont even think you could make that work let alone drive able. LOL

another thing to consider, stock height blocks are 3''. so if you have a 4'' block you only have 1'' of lift for the rear. and im guessing since you only have 1'' in the rear you probably have a 2'' spacer in the front to level it out... so you probably have a 2'' lift.

Sounds about right, I think the last owner said it was a 3" or 4" lift, sounds like it was 2" or 3". So, do they make a 3.5" front spacer kit? I think that would level me out.

I'll lok into the Cepek kit you mentioned, and go from there.

Thanks for the help.

top gun customz makes up to a 5'' spacer. check out what they have... the long arms kit will only work if you have a 5'' lift of more, some thing to think about...

Another quick and easy way would be to get rise-spindles for the front. SO all u gotta do is swap out the steering knuckle

Dodgeoffroad.com now sells there own long arm kit that is beefier than the dc kit. Topgun sells control arms in any length, for I believe 250. Then you need the brackets to relocate the upper arms though.

I looked at the DodgeOffroad LA kit, and it was almost $900, which is more than I want to spend for this rig. Its a sweet setup for sure, but just more than I need. It is superior to the Dick Cepek setup, as the brackets hang less, and the arms are thicker walled steel, so its much more durable... so I've heard.

Wow it's 700 for that kit now. It wasn't that much a couple weeks ago.
