Default Supercharging a V10

Has anyone here supercharged their V10? Or does anyone know what is available as far as a kit goes? Who makes one for these trucks/this engine??

Now that everything else is nearly done on the truck... of course we can't leave well-enough alone...

Just curious on recommendations, etc.

Thanks!

Em

I don't know of any kits at all. You would more than likely have to piece something together. Not impossible, merely difficult. (and prolly expensive....) Remote turbo might be an easier idea.....

A turbo charger works off exhaust gas from the engine. The turbo can be installed in multiple places and as the exhaust exits it turns the turbine in the turbo which is connected to you air box. The process after is the same as a super charger. Most diesel trucks use these.

Remote turbos are rear mounted turbos or ones that arent in the engine compartment usually done to cars with limited space. they produce more lag because of extended distance but if setup right it will be minimal.

Might want to see if they make a centrifugal supercharger kit for it.

ahhh, rear mounted turbo. I've never heard them called remote turbos... first thing that came to mind was that electric turbo whatever-you-call-it. LOL

We wanted to stick with a supercharger if possible, as everything we own is turbo'd. They're great and all, but I think a supercharger would be better for a towing application... I could be wrong though...

At one time, a couple manufacturers offered kits for the 'normal' v-10 trucks. If you could find one of those used somewhere....... keep in mind, they were north of 5 grand when new......
