AC Fan
I have a '95 dodge ram 1500. The AC seems to have some issues. It has 4 fan speeds, yet only 1 thru 3 work (sorta). The #4 doesn't work at all, and 1-3 stop working when I accelerate. Even when they are working, there is not a lot of air flow. Any ideas?

Mine is doing the same thing except in reverse. Only #4 works. I'm wondering if it is the blower motor relay which is located in the fuse panel next to the battery. As far as it not working when you accelerate, mine was doing that too so I took it to the Dodge place and they replaced a check valve under the dash that seems to have done the trick. That was about $40, mostly labor.

I'm not sure about the fan speed issue. It does sound like it could be a relay issue.
The acceleration issue however is vacuum related. Either you have a leak under the hood somewhere, or a bad check valve (as stated above) under the dash. Vacuum leaks are a bear to track down, and I can't really give you any tips for doing it. I'm having a hard time right now myself trying to find one on cammed motor I just installed for a guy on his 2001 GTP. Of course if he'd fix his damn supercharger coupler, it might help things. [:'(]

It's a very beefy resistor. It's mounted right next to the blower motor. Passenger side, under the dash. Maybe 1 screw to remove it. Could be 2, I can't remember. I think the resistor is in the actual path of flowing air to help dissapate heat. You'll know it when you see it. The blower motor case is essentially, round in shape. The resistor I believe, sits to the left of it when looking towards the front of the truck.
I would imagine it's a very common part that a dealer would keep on the shelf.
